Danny Valdes (me, the host) is a transplant to NYC by way of Miami, Fl (yes, I’m Cuban-American!). I’ve lived in Jackson Heights, Queens, in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and have settled for the time being with my brilliant partner and our Maine Coon in Chelsea. I write occasionally for The Indypendent and slaved (or, in the professional lingo, ‘interned’) for Democracy Now! in early 2009. Since then I’ve organized with several groups around town, most notably Rev. Billy during his run for Mayor.
